So I worked with a designer and a plastic company to design and tool a form fitting lens cover for the phone.

The cover is glass clear and attached with a hidden elastic connection to allow quick removal while keeping the cover attached to the phone.

I had a limited number of these made to see how they would sell. They are available on Ebay if you search for "Viewty Lens Cover". I ship from America, so other countries will see the listing under "International Sellers" after you search.

I am not a big company and did this because I use the phone for great shots when I travel for business.

Right when i exit from camera it takes ages to get back to main screen, I have deleted all msg's(inbox,sent) and have a 4gig card so not much internel memory being used. and also phone locks up when nav through menus and then vibrates several times to catch up with its self... Intermitant that one.
Im from the UK and on the 3G network. My firmware is 10a

Basically what it is is that I have the latest software version on my Viewty so I took it to try get it unlocked at my local unlocking shop, of whom said it wasn't possible at this current moment in time.

So I bought one of those unlocking sims, whacked it in my phone and it seems to work a little but its very temperamental. I'm on Virgin but it says I'm on T-mobile (I understand both of these companies share air-space, so this isn't really an issue) however, even when I have 2/3 bars of signal I can't receive any texts or calls. It could be an issue with the simcard, and it probably is but I just want some reassurance really and I feel this is the place to ask!

Sorry for being a mega n00b with only one post, but I've had my Viewty over 2 weeks now and got NOWHERE at all. I've used the search function and found nobody else to have this sort of problem.

This wouldn't be a problem normally but I sometimes put the music on when I go to bed.

I was about to sell my old Viewty but I noticed that a load of the silver surround was scratched off as it wasn't covered up by the invisibleSHIELD, so I bought myself a new full housing for the phone which came with a new lens (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=310090012195)

I followed the disassembly instructions on the formymobile.co.uk website carefully changing over all the parts as I went. The problem now is that the touchscreen is completely unresponsive :( although the screen itself displays correctly and I can see the PIN code request screen.

I completely stripped the phone down put it back together again making sure that I connected all the ribbons and connectors but still nothing..

Can anybody suggest anything to check before I throw away more money buying a new digitizer.

However when I took it out at school the screen was black with white text down it, like it looks when you jailbreak it. So I try to fix it in the lesson and (no suprise) the teacher takes it away for the whole day.So after school I go and get it off of her and it is running out of battery so I let the battery run flat. I try it again but i get the same screen, but this time I see that after the apple logo, there is some white text scrolling down the screen before it arrives at the screen I have been staring at all of today. I try plugging it in to my PC, but iTunes wont recognise it. I try using ZiPhone, but that can't find it either.

and think that the very bottom line appears about a second after everything else.
Does anybody know what this error is or how I can fix it?
My iPod is running jailbroken 1.1.4 F/W and is the 8GB 1st Gen model.
I can do a slow motion video of it booting up, if that would help.

I used the EFS media media builder to put the theme manager in it and i followed all the instructions EXACTLY as it said i should and now it wont even turn on
here is what it said:
"Installing to Phone Memory:

1) Before installing anything open up "ThemeList.txt" located in the Themes folder and modify all the locations from 0 to 1.
2) Using EFS Media Builder navigate to "LGAPP/Media/swf/".
3) Drag and Drop "widget2.swf", "widget4.swf" and any custom NYX files to this location.
4) Now with EFS navigate to "LGAPP/Media/swf/theme".
5) Drag and Drop "theme_bg2.swf" and the "Themes" folder to this location.
6) Click Disconnect and press YES at the pop-up

Once the Viewty reboots perform the following.

7) Navigate through the handset options and activate the Silver theme (2nd from top).
8) Navigate though the handset options and activate the Dual Clock.


Once theme_bg2.swf is installed there is no need to use EFS ever again (assuming you have a memory card). All future releases and updates of Theme Manager will be loaded in automatically."
